Jason is a Chartered Building Services Engineer and member of CIBSE. He was the youngest Senior Engineer in the UK Civil Service (UK Office of Public Works) and is recognised as one of the leading innovation and design engineers in the market.
Jason joined Lawler Consulting as Senior Project Engineer in 1996, and in 2007 he became Company Director and Chief Technical Officer. Since graduating he has accumulated over 35 years’ experience in the roles of Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Director, and Technical Director for projects in Ireland and overseas. He has an extensive portfolio ranging from project developments within the Healthcare, Commercial, Leisure, Educational, Research and Energy Sectors.
Jason spearheaded the Group’s entry into the Energy Performance Contracting (“EPC”) sector, leading the design and delivery of market-leading EPCs for Dublin City Council, Fingal County Council, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and more recently for over fifteen key sites in the Private Sector (Leisure/Hospitality, Healthcare, and Industrial sectors).
Jason is highly qualified across all international energy efficiency accreditations (including AEE, BREEAM, DEC, ESOS, FITWELL, LEAD, RESET) and has also been a key driver of Lawler Sustainability’s Consultancy Business, offering experts advice to leading companies in the areas of energy and CO2 reduction.
Jason has recently taken on the role of leading our Sustainability Business. His energy and CO2 reduction expertise coupled with the optimisation of existing energy equipment has meant that the demand for Jason’s services is such that we need to add to our capacity to meet the dramatic increase in pipeline sales, locally and internationally.
Successful Experience
Amongst the more recent large-scale projects which Jason has led include:
- Extensive Public and Private Sector Energy Performance Contracts across all business sectors.
- Leading energy efficient designs for flagship projects including (Applegreen, Bank of Ireland CenterParcs, Lidl, and Tom Johnson House (the largest energy efficient retrofit project in the history of the state).
- The development of our energy/CO2 measurement, monitoring and verification system (“Lawler Vision”). This system has since been installed at leading local and international clients (including Brown Thomas, Intel, K Club, Public Buildings and Maxol)

f) Ensuring that we attract required capital AND expertise/experience to optimise the performance of Lawler Sustainability
