Lead Facilities Manager


The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Engineer to lead and manage a range of technical services across a portfolio of assigned sites for our clients. The successful candidate will report to the team lead and our Technical Director.

The duties and responsibilities will include (not limited to):

  • Build and manage a team to deliver best-in-class service delivery
  • Reporting any maintenance issues/assisting in emergencies on site
  • Providing leadership, management and development of assigned contracts ensuring financial and operational commitments are met and exceeded.
  • Deliver continuous improvement by employing standard methodology and innovation to advance and build long lasting partnering relationships with our customers
  • Management of PPM requirements of new and existing projects
  • Maintenance Management: manage scheduled and reactive maintenance as required.
  • Ensuring all maintenance is compliant with the relevant legislation and is audit ready.
  • Comply with schedules ensuring all works are closed out correctly and on time.
  • Management of 3rd Party Service Providers
  • Manage a range of Subcontractors and Specialists for mini energy projects
  • Identifying and reporting hazards and incidents
  • Ensuring the availability of and if required participation in the provision of a 24 hour per day 365 days per year emergency on call service as required
  • Create efficiencies/opportunities on all operations of equipment e.g. BMS schedules
  • Managing ordering and procurement compliance across all sites
  • Management of the customer interface, ensuring a high profile in the day-to-day running of the sites and a consistently strong link to all key stakeholders
  • Quality, Environmental & Health and Safety Compliance of operations will be under your control.
  • Assist in preparing monthly client invoices
  • Making recommendations in respect of services and contractors for ongoing services
  • Devise best value engineering solutions to site issues

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Have 5 Years plus experience in the facilities management arena servicing buildings
  • Commercial experience in running an FM Division
  • Managerial experience 3 years minimum
  • Candidate will have worked in an FM Company and have familiarity with systems and commercials
  • Holder of a Third Level Diploma/Degree in Facilities/Building Services
  • Have a good mix of building services management, eg. Site/ hotels and/or leisure centers essential
  • Experience in client, team & contractor interaction
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritise
  • Strong customer focus and ability to be resourceful


Other Requirements:

  • Experience in managing maintenance budgets
  • Excellent capability with FM systems
  • Good understanding of Energy Systems
  • Experience in Building Energy Management Systems and optimisation
  • Experience working energy saving projects
  • Identification, reporting, and implementation of energy savings opportunities
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement projects across client sites to reduce energy consumption
  • Energy trending & monitoring across client sites
  • Sound knowledge of current Health and Safety requirements
  • Full Irish driving license essential
