Primary Care Centres – Building Performance Optimisation

Completing a range of energy services for HSE bundle including overheating analysis and computational fluid dynamics to achieve best in class A3 Building Energy Ratings for all primary care centres.

Nationwide, Ireland

Lawler Sustainability worked as M&E Engineers on this first Publicly Procured Project (PPP) project with Balfour Beatty and JJ Rhatigan & Co.

The five centres in the bundle which Lawler Sustainability teams have successfully completed are Dungarvan, Kilcock, Wexford, Waterford, and Carrick-On-Suir.

All five centres had strict occupant requirements to encourage wellbeing and health. For example the stringent daylight and natural ventilation requirements were achieved on all five sites. Our in house Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience allowed us to further demonstrate that these criteria were achieved which also ensuring best in class A3 Building Energy Ratings for all five centres.

We are very proud that the Waterford Primary Care Centre won gold at the 2019 Irish Construction Excellence Awards in the Education or Healthcare Building Category.
