LEED Assessment

Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) is an internationally recognised green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building was designed and built using strategies intended to improve performance in areas such as energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, and improved indoor environmental quality.

Lawler Sustainability carried out a LEED Assessment on Applegreen Mountgorry fuel and amenity store.

This is a one storey, 648 square metre building, with an average of 2200 average daily users.

LEED Silver Certification

The building achieved a Silver Certificate as awarded by the U.S Green Building Council (USGBC).

This was made possible by the use of many green and eco-friendly technologies such as air to water heat pumps (high and low temperature), rainwater harvesting, and grey water recycling from the onsite car wash.

A number of eco-friendly technologies helped this Applegreen store achieve a Silver LEED certification.
