Double Recognition for Lawler Sustainability at the 2026 All-Ireland Sustainability Awards

Lawler Sustainability

Lawler Sustainability celebrated a fantastic night at the 2026 All-Ireland Sustainability Awards, with Kayleigh-Ann Myles named Young Changemaker of the Year and Laura McMahon Highly Commended in the Green Legacy Award.

The awards bring together organisations and individuals from across Ireland who are helping to drive positive environmental, social and economic change, recognising leadership, innovation and practical action across the sustainability sector.

For Lawler Sustainability, this year’s recognition was particularly special, celebrating both the impact of an emerging sustainability leader and the long-term contribution of one of the people who has helped shape and grow the business.

Kayleigh-Ann Myles named Young Changemaker of the Year

Kayleigh-Ann Myles was named Young Changemaker of the Year, recognising her growing contribution to sustainability and her work helping organisations navigate an increasingly complex ESG landscape.

As part of the Lawler Sustainability team, Kayleigh-Ann works with businesses to translate sustainability ambitions, reporting requirements and emerging standards into practical programmes of action.

Her work spans ESG strategy and readiness, helping organisations better understand where they are today, what will increasingly be expected of them and how they can build the structures, data and processes needed to make meaningful progress.

I’m incredibly proud to receive the Young Changemaker of the Year award. Sustainability is an area that is constantly evolving, and I’m passionate about helping organisations turn increasingly complex sustainability requirements into practical action and meaningful change. It’s a real privilege to have that work recognised, and I’m excited about what we can continue to achieve — Kayleigh-Ann Myles, Associate Director

Kayleigh-Ann was unable to attend the Belfast ceremony herself as she was in Lisbon, so there was an added twist to the evening: Laura collected the award on her behalf.

And it wasn’t the only recognition for the Lawler Sustainability team that night.

Laura McMahon Highly Commended in the Green Legacy Award

Laura McMahon was Highly Commended in the Green Legacy Award, recognising her long-standing contribution to sustainability and the impact of her work across the industry.

The recognition was particularly meaningful because the Green Legacy Award is selected through the awards’ judging process, recognising individuals whose sustained leadership and contribution have helped advance the sustainability agenda over time.

Laura has played a central role in the development of Lawler Sustainability and its work with organisations seeking to improve the performance of their buildings, operations and businesses.

Over the years, that work has evolved alongside the sustainability landscape itself – from energy efficiency and building performance through to decarbonisation, green building certification and the increasingly important ESG agenda.

To be Highly Commended for the Green Legacy Award is a real honour, particularly knowing that the recognition came from the judging panel. Sustainability has changed enormously throughout my career, but the ambition has remained the same – helping organisations make better, more sustainable decisions that deliver lasting impact. I’m extremely proud of what we’ve built at Lawler Sustainability and, most importantly, of the people who are continuing to drive that work forward — Laura McMahon, Director of Sustainability

Recognising Sustainability Leadership – Now and for the Future

Together, the two awards represent something we are particularly proud of at Lawler Sustainability: combining established expertise and experience with a new generation of sustainability professionals bringing fresh thinking, ambition and energy to the industry.

From helping organisations understand and reduce energy use and carbon emissions, to supporting green building certification, ESG strategy and wider decarbonisation programmes, sustainability increasingly requires expertise across multiple disciplines.

Developing that expertise within our own team – and creating opportunities for the next generation of sustainability professionals to lead – is an important part of how Lawler Sustainability continues to evolve.

The 2026 recognition also builds on Lawler Sustainability’s previous success at the All-Ireland Sustainability Awards, including being named Gold Winner in the Consultancy category in 2024.

We are incredibly proud of both Kayleigh-Ann and Laura and delighted to see their contributions recognised alongside sustainability leaders and organisations from across Ireland.

Congratulations to them both – and to all of this year’s winners, highly commended recipients and finalists.
