Audit Funding & Grant Supports
Ireland offers a variety of funding mechanisms to support energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability projects. Lawler Sustainability helps clients identify suitable grants and prepare applications to maximise financial support.

SEAI Technical Assistance Grant | Covers up to 50 % of consultancy costs (maximum €25,000) for SMEs and other organisations to develop building‑specific energy upgrade plans. Consultants provide high‑level drawings, sizing, sequencing, costings and a holistic design report. | Open to all businesses, public bodies, community groups and charities; projects must focus on renewable heat, energy efficiency or building management systems and be signed off by a chartered engineer. |
Enterprise Ireland Climate Enterprise Action Fund | Offers three supports: (1) Climate Action Voucher (€1,800) for resource efficiency and renewable planning; (2) GreenStart (up to €5,000) for carbon footprint measurement and reduction actions; and (3) GreenPlus – grant funding (up to 50 %) for multi‑year climate action plans aligned with international frameworks. | Available to companies supported by Enterprise Ireland; helps them plan and implement emissions reductions. |
Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Energy Efficiency Grant | Provides 75 % of eligible costs, between €750 and €10,000, for SMEs to invest in energy‑efficient technologies after completing a GreenStart, Green for Business or SEAI Energy Audit. | Small enterprises (1–50 employees) that are not Enterprise Ireland or IDA clients. Supports projects such as smart meters, LED lighting, building controls, heat pumps and more. |
IDA Ireland Green Plus & Capital Grants | IDA client companies can access the Green Plus Grant covering 50 % of costs up to €60,000 for comprehensive sustainability assessments and action plans. Additional capital grants are available for renewable and energy efficiency projects that exceed statutory requirements. | IDA Ireland clients investing in sustainability and low‑carbon technologies. |
