Our methodology

The process typically consists of three phases:

1. Gap analysis – Assess existing policies, procedures and energy data against the clauses of ISO 50001. Engage stakeholders to understand current practices and identify strengths and weaknesses.
2. Implementation plan – Summarise findings and develop a detailed plan outlining activities, responsibilities and timescales for closing gaps. Identify resource needs and training requirements.
3. Implementation support – Provide coaching to implement the plan. This may involve developing new procedures, establishing energy baselines and EnPIs, integrating EnMS into existing management systems, developing communication plans and training programmes, and preparing for external certification audits.
