Lawler Sustainability is helping to develop a wide CSR strategy and energy reduction programme that involves SI 426 compliance for the book store chain, Easons.
SI 426 Compliance
SI 426 Compliance forms part of the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) which by law requires large organisations to complete energy audits every four years.
The main prerogative of SI 426 Compliance and the EED is to ensure that large, energy-intensive organisations are at least making the minimum efforts required to improve energy efficiency.
Easons, together with Lawler Sustainability are performing SI 426 energy audits on many of its retail outlets across Ireland.
This will provide the organisation with greater transparency into its energy usage.
It has also allowed us to develop an energy reduction roadmap for the client that they can follow to increase overall sustainability and CSR impact.
From a CSR perspective, this SI 426 energy audit is an exemplar of Easons’ commitment to its environmental obligations and to reducing its carbon footprint.
