Lawler Sustainability was hired to carry out BERs on a number of the retail/office units in Axis Business Park in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

Axis Business Park contracted Lawler Sustainability to carry out a number of Building Energy Ratings (BERs) on the park’s retail and office units.
Due to the fact that the facilities are let out separately and are occupied by a number of different businesses, they all required individual BERs.
Our team of BER assessors examined seven different units. They all returned varying ratings due to their positioning within the park, age of the unit, and other factors. Overall, each unit ranged between a C1 and C3 rating.
These assessments highlighted various opportunities for improvement. Our team recommended that each unit install a controlled heating system, replaced Tubular 8 lamps with Tubular 5 lamps, and introduced IHF (Intelligent High Frequency) fluorescent lighting tubes for greater energy efficiency.
